Interschool sport opportunities

Years 5 and 6 children are eligible to compete in school sports fixtures. There are three sport seasons, with competition played on Friday afternoons. At the start of the year students nominate which sports they are able to participate in after seeking parent permission. They are then invited to ‘try outs’ where the coach will select the team for each sport. Several divisions are entered. Transport costs apply for students attending away from school games.

Interhouse sport opportunities

For the purpose of interhouse sports, the school is divided into four (4) houses with members of the same family generally placed in the same house. The houses and colours are as follows:

Archer – Gold, Capricorn - Red, Fitzroy – Green, Keppel – Blue.
On Sports Day children wear their general uniform or a house colour shirt. When they are competing they may be given a ‘bib’ to wear in the colour of their house.
Frenchville students also regularly achieve selection in Greater Rockhampton and Capricornia representative teams. Students who achieve at representative level can apply for a small amount of financial support through our P&C Association. Students selected at State level are inducted into our Sporting Hall of Fame and are also eligible for subsidy.
