SafeST Committee
The Frenchville Safe School Travel (SafeST) Committee meets once a term as part of our P&C meeting agenda to review the traffic issues surrounding our school and to monitor the safety of students as they travel to and from school. The committee has successfully overseen the installation of traffic lights, the ongoing review of parking areas, and provides input to the Department of Transport, Main Roads and Rockhampton Regional Council about important traffic safety issues. The SafeST Committee also promotes a police presence around our school. In 2012 the SafeST Committee supported students to make a movie to promote safe travel around our school. Students were congratulated for their initiative and local media promoted the success of the student movie.
